My role

I directed and created both films from start to finish: script, art direction, character and set design, animation and editing. Each character was drawn, referenced and locked before a single frame moved, because both stories are about something real: how people are seen, judged and included.

The themes are sensitive: neurodivergence and tolerance in Her Own Way, ableism in Corponormatividade, commissioned by Fiocruz, which followed and approved every stage. The creation and execution were mine. I wanted each film to provoke without ridiculing and without exploiting. Here, technical consistency and care for the people portrayed were the same work, done frame by frame, with intent.

    Detail and resolution refined in Magnific.

    Voice generated in ElevenLabs, editing and finishing in Premiere Pro.

Her Own Way — personal project. A girl plays differently from the other children, and a group of adults watches and judges her for it. A film about tolerance, in which only she speaks.

Before animating, I generated the setting from multiple angles and times of day to keep the space consistent in every frame.
Corponormatividade — commissioned by Fiocruz, with narration. What if the world were built for people with three arms, and having only two made you the exception, judged as inefficient? The film asks the audience to imagine being the person the world did not take into account.
The Third Arm cast: three characters with a third arm at the centre of the body and the two-armed protagonist.
The biggest challenge: an anatomy that does not exist in any image bank. The AI models kept drawing two arms or moving the third arm with every generation. I solved it as in a traditional production: locked sheets for the whole cast and strict references before animating. The protagonist, with two arms, is the exception in this world.
